Courses Offered

General Purpose Rating (GP Rating) 6 Months

Criteria: Pass with aggregate 40% marks in 1oth Standard from a recognized Board with Science and Mathematics as subjects and with minimum 40% marks in English language either in 10th, 12th or diploma/degree exam.

Age Limit: Between 17.5 to 25 years. 

Certificate Course in Maritime Catering (CCMC) 6 Months

Criteria: Indian nationals desiring to enroll for the Pre-Sea Certificate course in Maritime Catering is required to pass 10+2 standards with 40% aggregate marks from a recognized board and are required to obtain 40% marks in English at 10th standard.

Age Limit: Between 17.5 to 25 years. 

Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) 1 Year

Criteria: Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as separate subjects with minimum 50 % marks in the English Language on the 10th of 12th standard exam.

Note: In the case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English Marks.

Age Limit: Between 17 to 25 years. 

Batchelor in Nautical Science (BNS) 3 Years

Criteria: 10+2/equivalent (PCM – a minimum of 60% aggregate) & English – a minimum of 50% in 10th/+2.

Note: In the case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English Marks.

Age Limit: Between 17 to 25 years. 

General Marine Engineering (GME) 1 Year

Criteria: The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (BE or B.Tech) in either Mechanical Engineering or in Naval Architecture specialization with a minimum 60% aggregate score at the undergraduate level.
English proficiency: The candidate must be fluent in English. English must have been a compulsory subject at the 10+2 level examinations with at least 50% scored.

Age Limit: The candidates must not be older than 28 years of age at the time of training start date.

B.Tech Marine Engineering 4 Years

Criteria: 10+2/equivalent (PCM – a minimum of 60% aggregate) & English – a minimum of 50% in 10th/ +2.

Note: In the case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English Marks.

Age Limit: Between 17 to 25 years. 

Electro Technical Officer (ETO) Course

Criteria:

Passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as a separate subject with minimum 50% marks in English at 10th or 12th standard, AND passed three year’s Diploma with 60% marks

OR

Passed Four years Degree including Lateral Entry, with 50% marks, in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation, or equivalent

OR

Passed in 10th Standard, with English as a separate subject with minimum 50% marks in English, AND passed in Diploma with 60%, AND passed Three years Degrees through Lateral Entry with 50% marks in the streams mentioned above. The diploma/degree Courses must be recognized by any State or Central Government or AICTE.

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years of age at the time of course commencement

Orientation Courses for Catering Personnel (OCCP)

Criteria: The Candidate should have passed the 10th or 12th Standard Exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in the English language at 10th or 12th standard.

A Degree or Diploma Certificate in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, or Catering, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality and Tourism, of a minimum six months duration from an institution duly recognized by State Boards/UGC approved University or approved by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology(NCHMC) or AICTE.

Age Limit: 18 to 25 years of age at the time of course commencement.
